A Dystopian Music Video

This past weekend, I had the opportunity to shoot a music video for a local director, bringing a bold and unsettling vision to life.

Shot over two days with a Blackmagic camera and a DJI Ronin, the video explores the darker side of social media—specifically, the dangers of anonymity online and the damage it can do. Through the eyes of a local musician, the visuals mirror the way digital identities can be both a mask and a weapon, creating a world where validation and destruction exist side by side.

On Day One, we built a cold, disconnected dystopia—a stylized take on how social media isolates and distorts reality. Day Two blurred the boundaries between that world and our own, showing how the digital and real worlds bleed into each other, sometimes with unsettling consequences.

With a small but dedicated five-person crew (including the artist), we crafted something visually striking and thought-provoking. Stay tuned for the final cut—this one will make you think twice before your next anonymous comment.

No electronics were harmed in the making of this video… kind of.
